The registry of .LU has announced the launch of Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) as of February 1, 2010.

There will be a Sunrise period between February 1, 2010 and March 31, 2010. During this period only owners of already registered ASCII .LU names will be able to get the respective IDNs.

Beginning April 1, 2010 IDN registrations will be performed on a "first-come, first-served" basis.
