.PT and .ES: Domain figures increase

.PT lists 29,000 registrations after rules liberalization and .ES has passed 1.5 million registration mark.
.PT had a good start into the first week after the registration policies were liberalized. There were 18,220 .PT domain names registered in the first 24 hours. Up to now a total of 28,984 .PT domains have been implemented since the liberalization started. The liberalization allows anyone to register Portuguese country domain names.
According to NIC.ES, .ES has now reached 1.5 million domain names. The .ES name space grew by 17% with more than 1,000 new domain names each day in the last 12 month. The domain represents about 50% of the Spanish domain name market and is among the top twenty domain registers in the world in terms of the number of domains registered.
